Mood Disorders
These include a variety of conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder variants, Persistent Depressive Disorder, and Unclassified Mood Disorders. At this practice, the dimensions of the problems are given precedence over choosing treatments based on diagnosis.
Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa
These conditions may require the involvement of a team of clinicians including a psychotherapist, a nutritionist, and your primary care physician. A pharmacological approach may not help without a highly involved team of experienced clinicians.
Anxiety Disorders
These include Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Unspecified Anxiety Disorder (may be caused by other psychiatric conditions), Somatic Symptom Disorder, and other variants of health anxiety as well as other conditions that may be aggravated by anxiety and stress.
Psychotic Disorders
This is a wide variety of conditions which include (but are not limited to) Schizophrenia (and similar conditions with a duration of less than six months), Acute Psychosis, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder with Psychotic Features, and Delusional Disorder. Conditions with less impairment in reality testing such as certain types of Personality Disorders may also be considered a subcategory of this group of disorders.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
This condition may be present alone or more commonly concomitant with mood or anxiety disorders.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
This category includes ADHD, Combined Type, and Inattentive Type (formerly ADD). Although this condition is considered to be neurodevelopmental, in many cases, particularly in recent years, it is diagnosed in adults with a high treatment success rate. Note that a previous superior academic performance does not rule out the existence of this condition.

Sleep Disorders
Conditions such as Insomnia Disorder (both primary and secondary) and other sleep disorders are often addressed in conjunction with improving mental health and addressing underlying psychiatric conditions.

Binge-Eating Disorder
This condition involves episodes of consuming large quantities of food in a short period, often accompanied by feelings of loss of control. Treatment typically requires an interdisciplinary approach, including therapy and medical management.

Tic Disorders
These include Tourette Syndrome and other tic-related conditions. Treatment approaches focus on managing symptoms and enhancing quality of life through therapy and, when appropriate, medication.

Autism Spectrum Disorder
This neurodevelopmental condition involves challenges with social interaction, communication, and restricted or repetitive behaviors. Treatments often focus on behavioral therapies and personalized support strategies.
Intermittent Explosive Disorder
This condition is characterized by sudden episodes of unwarranted anger and can be managed through therapy, stress reduction strategies, and medication.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
PTSD involves distressing symptoms following a traumatic event. Treatment typically includes a combination of trauma-focused therapies and, when necessary, medication to alleviate symptoms.
Substance-Related Disorders
These include conditions related to the use of alcohol, drugs, or other substances. Treatment may involve a combination of counseling, support groups, and medical management.
